As a strategic AI leader, Oliver Beck works at CARIAD at the intersection of research and industrial series development of safety‑critical systems for the vehicles of the Volkswagen Group. He currently oversees a perception domain with several hundred developers as well as an AI development team. Oliver’s work focuses on scaling complex computer vision and multi‑task learning systems for series production in the automotive sector, and on designing robust governance structures for reliable, regulated AI. This is also part of his work contributing to the AI development within the Automated Driving Alliance together with Bosch. With academic roots in computational neuroscience (MIT/TU Berlin) and experience as a founder, Oliver combines technical excellence with entrepreneurial thinking, organizational development, and strategic scaling in AI engineering.
