Francis Chow is Vice President and General Manager for In-Vehicle OS and Edge at Red Hat. He is a seasoned senior leader with extensive experience in profitable growth strategies, go-to-market execution, industry-disrupting product design and development, marketing, and operational excellence for well-known brands.
At Red Hat, Francis Chow leads overall product management, marketing, business development, and ecosystem development for the automotive and edge product portfolio. There, Francis built the automotive and edge business from the ground up, initially focusing on „In-Vehicle Operating Systems“ for automobiles and later expanding the solution across multiple industries to unlock multi-billion-dollar revenue opportunities.
Early in his career, Francis held other leadership roles at VMware and Altera. In each of these companies, Francis built high-performing teams, introduced breakthrough technologies, and delivered significant financial results through aggressive growth strategies.
Francis is currently a delegate of the World Economic Forum’s „Drive-A” initiative and a member of the SOAFEE Board of Directors. Francis is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned both his MBA in General Management and his MS in Electrical Engineering. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He holds eight U.S. patents. Francis lives with his family of four in the San Francisco Bay Area.
