Mark Furtwängler

Mark Furtwängler, born in 1978, is CEO and a member of the sixth generation of shareholders running the 171-year-old family business. Bühler Motor, headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany, is now synonymous with the customer-specific development and production of electric pumps and actuators. The company employs 1,050 people worldwide and generates annual sales of around €300 million. Before Mark Furtwängler took over the management of Bühler Motor GmbH in 2019, he held various positions within the company, including head of North American operations in the USA from 2016 to 2018. Before joining the family business, he worked for BMW AG in Munich for eight years in the areas of controlling and development. Since November 2020, he has been a member of the advisory board of Manufacturer Group III (Parts and Accessories) in the VDA, where he represents the interests of industrial and family-run medium-sized companies. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt.
