Head of Network Planning and Sustainability Inbound Logistics Europe, Daimler Truck AG
Oliver Berger studied industrial engineering at the University of Karlsruhe (TH), specializing in corporate planning. After graduating, he joined the former DaimlerChrysler AG in 2004 through a trainee program at the Rastatt passenger car plant, where he subsequently worked as an operations engineer and on software and vehicle projects. In 2010, he moved to the truck assembly plant in Wörth, where he was initially responsible for operational goods receipt and empties dispatch. In 2013, he joined the transport logistics team for the site and, following the spin-off of Daimler Truck AG, rebuilt the independent function of inbound network planning for Europe for the truck manufacturer. Mr. Berger and his team are responsible for the regional freight forwarding network and the planning and control software for the European production sites, and he heads the “Electrify Inbound Logistics” project to convert delivery traffic to electric trucks. He is involved in the VDA, where he heads the “Transport Networks and Freight Transport Policy” working group.
