Dr. Dominic Ponattu

Dominic Ponattu has served as Head of the Industry, Energy, Research, and Defense Industry Division at the Federal Chancellery since 2025; he had previously been employed there since 2021. Until 2019, Dominic Ponattu worked in the private sector, including as a consultant at Roland Berger and for the Bertelsmann Foundation. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics and Government (First Class) from the London School of Economics, where he also earned an M.Sc. (with Distinction); he received his Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim. Dominic Ponattu was named one of Capital Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2022 and 2023, is a Young Leader of Atlantik-Brücke, and is a Fellow of the Bucerius Summer School and the German National Academic Foundation.
