Artificial intelligence is becoming the central driver of tomorrow’s mobility. The goal is to establish Germany as a lead market for AI-based automotive technologies—through technology-neutral regulation, accelerated approval processes, and clear liability and data protection frameworks. 

But where do we stand today? Germany has strong industrial, research, and data capabilities, yet faces the challenge of transforming hardware-centric value creation into software- and data-driven business models. 

In this session, we explore how uniform data standards, interoperable platforms, and reliable framework conditions can be established. We also discuss which regulatory levers—from approval and liability to data usage—are required to enable new value creation networks around software, data, and cloud infrastructures. The goal is to strengthen Germany as a center for innovation and economic competitiveness in the global market.
